WORLD MOSQUITO DAY

UIAHMS School of Medical Entomology and Parasitology joined the rest of the world to commemorate World Mosquito Day (WMD) under the National Theme; : “ Prevent that bite-Our collective responsibility : This day is set aside to recognise the momentous discovery of the link between humans, Malaria and mosquitoes by a British doctor Sir Ronald Ross in 1897. WMD is marked in Uganda to raise awareness about the dangers of Malaria and other Mosquito borne diseases, and ongoing efforts in the fight against the world’s deadliest creature.
