Health Promotion & Education is a social science that draws from the biological, environmental, psychological, physical and medical sciences to promote health and prevent disease, disability and premature death through education-driven voluntary behavior change activities. Health education is the development of individual, group, institutional, community and systemic strategies to improve health knowledge, attitudes, skills and behavior.
The purpose of health education is to positively influence the health behavior of individuals and communities as well as the living and working conditions that influence their health.

Post Basic Diploma in Health Promotion & Education
xxb course that aims to equip students with skills and knowledge in the field of xxb. It also provides students with practical experience in dealing with problems that people face in daily life. In addition to these, this course also covers subjects in psychology, sociology, physiology, anatomy, and related areas.
Occupational therapists can also choose to specialize in community healthcare, pediatrics, and psychosocial rehabilitation.
Direct Entry requirements
- UACE with at least 1 principal pass in either Biology or Chemistry and a subsidiary pass from the other.
- UCE with at least 5 passes in Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English.
Indirect Entry requirements
- A Certificate in any of these health related disciplines.
